Question: What is the difference between a standard retail trading account and a professional account?
Standard accounts require you have more margin to open positions. Standard accounts offer negative balance protection, which means you will never lose more than is in your account.
Question: What protections will I not get?
Negative balance. Negative balance protections are not applied to professional clients. This means you have an obligation to make payments in order to bring negative balances back to zero.
Sophisticated language. When we communicate with you we may use more sophisticated language than we would with a retail client.
Knowledge and experience. We will assume that you have a certain level of knowledge and experience in leveraged products.
Best execution. When transacting for retail clients we must priorities overall price and cost. In the case of professionals we will take into account factors such as speed of execution and how likely the trade will be executed.
